Our direct to film prints are printed to order in house with commercial equipment! They boast a clear carrier sheet which allows you to see exact print placement.

Sublimation Transfer Application Instructions

For the best results, please follow the instructions below. Because every heat press performs differently, slight adjustments may be necessary to achieve optimal results.

Heat Press Settings

• Set your heat press to 385°F–400°F.
• We recommend starting at the lower end of the temperature range and increasing the temperature only if needed.
• Heat presses vary in accuracy, and some may have hot or cold spots. We recommend checking your press with a heat gun or temperature strips and testing a few extra transfers to determine the ideal settings for your specific equipment.

Before Pressing

• Pre-press your garment or substrate for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
• Place a sheet of Teflon paper or protective paper inside the garment to prevent ink from transferring through to the opposite side.

Applying the Transfer

1. Position the sublimation transfer with the printed side facing the material.
2. Cover the transfer with a sheet of Teflon paper or protective parchment paper.
3. Press using light to medium pressure for 50–60 seconds.

Fabric Recommendations

Sublimation transfers are designed for polyester-coated substrates and polyester fabrics.

• For the most vibrant colors, we recommend using 100% polyester.
• Fabrics with 50% polyester can also be used but will produce a softer, more vintage appearance due to the lower polyester content.
• Sublimation transfers are not recommended for 100% cotton, as the ink will not permanently bond to the fibers.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: It is highly recommended you include in your care instructions the customer should not use fabric softener.  Fabric softener is hard on all transfers, but especially DTF prints.  Additionally, please refrain from detergents with Oxy or aggressive stain fighters.

Screen Prints: RTS screen prints will typically ship same day; however, please allow 1-3 business days.  IN PRODUCTION/REORDER screen prints will ship within 1-3 business days of the RTS date listed in the title.

DTF Prints: DTF Prints will ship within 1-3 business days. If submitting custom DTFs, the TAT will start upon receiving print ready artwork.

Custom Traditional Screens:  Custom Traditional Screens will ship within 7-10 business days of receiving print ready artwork.

Wholesale/Printed Tees: Will ship within 7-10 business days.  Any deviation from this timeline will be communicated with you promptly for your approval.

Preorders: Please be mindful of the TAT listed within the product description.  Please be aware the TAT does not start until the business day following the closing of the preorder. TAT is an estimated date and may be subject to change due to production and shipping delays.
